A sinking feeling hit her- something was not right about Jak. He seemed wild- his eyes were dark, not even recognizable. His teeth more closely resembled fangs as he raised his lips in a snarl. All of a sudden, his mental dam broke loose and she shrieked as he lashed out, purple eco rolling off of him in waves.
The force caused her to trip backwards, crushing her back into the wall behind her and splaying on the ground. Her arms raised to her face, her hands quivering. This was not good- it wasn’t good at all.
As he heard her cry out he staggered back, trying to regain control. He knew what he probably looked like, half-changed as he was, knew how close he was to losing it - but he couldn’t. Not in front of her - she already had enough to deal with without worrying about him changing into some sort of monster.
He stumbled backward, knocking over a few tools and crashing into one of the zoomers on lifts, trying to get as far away as possible just in case he couldn’t keep it back. He winced, yelping in pain as the tips of short, twisted horns broke through his scalp, hands trembling and starting to grow claws as he reached up to try and push them back, try and do anything to stop this not here not in front of her notinfrontofher-
