It seemed she was getting ready to pounce at him, wound up like a vicious crocadog. It was hard to be as tiny as her and still be menacing, but years of practice really helped.

He spent about half a second thinking about what to say - should’ve spent a lot longer, but that wasn’t his strong suit - before just giving up on speech altogether, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into a slow kiss.
