She was breathing hard- this was a dangerous situation. Jak had positioned himself in front of her, gun drawn and ready to fire at the blink of an eye. The reality of the situation was hitting her hard- she never had to fight wars or kill things. It wasn’t in her nature- she was meant to create.

Seeing Jak like this made something in her panic, and she grasped the back of his coat. “Jak, c’mon, can’t we just get out of here, please?“ She spoke in a low voice, speaking directly at him.

He couldn’t take his gaze off of the group - now slightly hesitating, a few of them taking a step or two back - to look at her, but his ear slightly twitching in her direction let her know he’d heard.

"They’re blocking the way. Once they’re gone, we’re clear.” He didn’t specify how the group would leave, but the gun in his hand punctuated his claim with a small burst, just barely missing one of the thugs. The man beat a hasty retreat backward to the safety of the group, the men exchanging glances. All at once they seemed to come to the same conclusion, slowly retreating. Jak followed to the end of the alleyway, the barrels of the Vulcan Fury constantly spinning in warning. Once they’d disappeared into the clustered streets he sighed, resting the butt of the gun against the ground and leaning on it for a moment.
