That was all she needed to hear- a second chance for her to maybe fix some of the damage she had done. A second chance to get back what she had lost when she went through the Rift Gate. As soon as the words left his mouth, her heart jumped into her throat- and she jumped up onto him, sliding her arms around his neck, half hanging off the couch as she held onto him.
He seemed surprised at first, tensing and grabbing her rather quickly - but soon relaxed, turning to the side and laying along the couch so she had enough room to join him. He buried his face in the cloth covering her shoulder, falling silent.
Talking was how the fights normally started.
